France holiday July 2008

Although we loved the gîte in Réquy, we decided it was time to move to a different area. Once more we took the Superfast ferry from Rosyth to Zeebrugge; this time we knew it would probably be the last with that company, but hoped there would be a replacement. We took the usual few days driving down through France and back, again staying at the wonderful Logis de France. Mog and Fi came to visit us again.

In Vitry-le-François again, staying at the same hotel. Here's the church in the square. [click for larger image] Somewhere in the Jura [click for larger image]

So yes, we found a new area that was great to explore and had the same lovely light for painting. Unfortunately the gîte in Callas will not be available in the future, but there are other places not too far away that we'd also like to go back to. Can't wait for another dose of lovely warm France!
